Position Title: Sr S/W Engineer

Location: south FL

Salary range: $65k – $85K

Description:

Develop and maintain real-time and embedded software for new medical robotic 
systems. Work on cross-functional project teams with mechanical, electrical, 
and robotic engineers to develop and release products.



The ideal candidate will have experience of C development in *NIX.

Successful candidates must have the ability and flexibility to work well 
under changing priorities in a high energy, demanding environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain embedded code for embedded robot motor controllers
• Write automated tests for embedded code
• Make changes and improvements to real-time haptic control system code
• Generate Software Risk Analysis documents and test reports for Design 
Project File

Qualifications:

·    6 yrs of S/W exp

·    Development exp in Tcl/Tk (scripting languages)

·    Image processing preferred

·    Medical imaging/navigation preferred

•  Must be comfortable in the UNIX environment

•  Working knowledge of *NIX type OS
•  Software Driver/Interface
•  Real-time OS experience desired (QNX preferred)
•  Interface with electromechanical systems
•  Embedded software development experience preferred
•  POSIX
•  Cross platform GUI development (QT, Java, etc.)
•  Familiarity with basic robotics theory  a plus
