[Yaaarc] FS: OLPC XO-1

I jumped at the chance, and ordered an XO-1 on Nov 12th when they became
available. Then on the 15th of November, I had both of my vehicles forced
offline by mechanical failures. I phoned the OLPC folks, and told them
that I was forced to invoke the order cancellation clause in their
published terms and conditions. They told me it would take seven to ten
business days for the credit to hit my VISA account. To date, I have not
seen a penny, and then to make matters worse, a box arrived on my doorstep
on Saturday which has external markings which lead me to believe that it
contains a brand new XO-1. Today, I spent an hour on hold until I got
thru to 'customer care'[sic], only to be told that I would have to wait
until someone from billing calls me back, which I was promised would
happen before 3PM this afternoon. Needless to say, I never received that
call.

So, even though I originally agreed that this was not purchased for
resale, I feel that I'm forced to attempt to liquidate it locally. I'll
give the unopened cardboard box and the receipt which is good for a $200
tax deduction to the first person who reaches me with $423.95 in cash.
