Hi Jeff,

The Ann Arbor Computer Society has explicit parts of the meeting for
introducing yourself and passing out resumes. They meet the first
Wednesday. I may be able to make the January meeting, but I usually
have a conflicting class (which is why I'm not at YAAARC).

John Stout or one of his employees is always there. They run a local
headhunter firm. When I was last out of work they worked hard to get me
a job, but I ended up working at a different place, which is good, as
I'm still there more than 7 years later.

Also, I recommend just sending your resume to local technology companies
that you think may be interesting places to work. They may be hiring if
you're the right candidate.

Regards,

Richard

I'm wondering if anyone can direct me where electrical or firmware engineering type jobs are advertised in the Ann Arbor area. MLIVE used to be a good source, but I see very few on there, along with Monster and Dice. I was thinking maybe it had something to do with the auto industry, but I heard on the radio Ann Arbor had the lowest unemployment rate in the state... something like 4% so figure I must be looking in the wrong place.
