I forgot to add that if you want to do the simple "R/C servo hack"
as described, you'll also need three copies of the R/C servo control
board, one per channel.  

You can find cheap R/C servos NEW between $10 and $15 online (e.g. 
Tower Hobbies), so it isn't too expensive to do it this way.
