I'm leaving InterClean for greener pastures at Nissan, doing vehicle
telematics which is more up my alley with my background in automotive
and embedded electronics. The telematics systems will be Linux based.

My last day at InterClean will be at the end of this month, so it's a
week's notice. You must be a jack of all trades, being able to
administer Linux and Windows machines. You will be involved in Linux,
Apache2, MySQL, Perl/PHP (LAMP) development, plus scripting as needed.
This job is not for the faint of heart or newbies on the learning curve
because you'll be the only computer guru in the whole place. If you
want to know more, contact me off list.

There is some software development and control systems stuff. I've been
pushing them to move away from Windows PCs to an embedded Linux system
for controlling the truck washes. The old software is written in Delphi
5, but the new code I've written is all in Perl. The actual control
software itself is done by another engineer (who resides in Boston) and
will be done in C or C++.

The first major task will be the migration from a Windows NT PDC to a
Linux PDC using Samba+OpenLDAP. The next major task is the migration
of email from an Exchange 5.5 server to Postfix + Dovecot + Open-Xchange
(which uses OpenLDAP). After that, it's pretty much the migration from
old servers to a new server running Xen. There is one Xen server now,
with a second one planned for next year.

InterClean is located at 3939 Bestech Rd, north of Michigan Ave and off
Carpenter Rd. behind Sam's Club. See their website at
http://www.interclean.com/ to see what their business is. Please read
the job description before submitting your resume to hr at interclean.com.
