Well, I found what I think is a good deal for a Mini Sumo chassis. I found
the Mark III Mini Sumo chassis kit for $10.00. You need to add your own
modified servos, wheels, uC and sensors but it's a nice small chassis about
the size of the flutter bot with places for the Fairchild and Sharp sensors
that we/I have been using. Anyone, interested in Mini Sumo for an upcoming
event? The chassis also lends itself well to Line following, Fire fighting
and Maze solving.

Also, I have bread boarded an Atmel ATMega16, built a programmer and have it
flashing LEDs and the like. I was amazed at how simple was to get one of
these things working. I'm not an EE so this stuff is still magic to me. I
would like find out more regarding what is available open source or cheap in
order to design a board for it. I have heard horror stories regarding using
the free software available from the board shops and would appreciate any
incite the group may have on the subject.

Thanks
Jim Ronald
